Marketing Grant Program

Appleton Downtown Inc. (ADI) is pleased to offer our annual Matching Marketing Grant Program to all of our BID members. The goal of the program is to increase foot traffic and spending in the district through increased marketing efforts by individual businesses Downtown. 

We know it can be challenging to set aside a budget for marketing throughout the year. With this program, ADI can help stretch your marketing budget by providing a 50/50. This program allows your business to still customize your message across a variety of media platforms while still helping promote Downtown Appleton. 

Eligible businesses can receive a 50% match up to $500 per calendar year!

Interested? Here’s how it works! 

  • Choose your media outlet (print, digital/online, TV, Radio, etc.) and get a quote/contract (do not sign off until completing the next steps)  
  • Complete the image marketing application, which can be found here. Please review the full application for grant requirements and eligibility. 
  • Send your completed application, a quote and/or a contract for your ad and a copy of your ad. Your application cannot be processed without all three of these items. (NOTE: The ad must include either the words “Downtown Appleton One Great Place” or the ADI logo and ads must be pre-approved.)
  • Once approved, you can begin your advertising. 
  • After your advertising has been run and the invoice has been paid, send a copy of the ad (either in print or a recording) and an invoice to show proof. 
  • Once these materials are processed and approved, the business will receive a check for the 50% match.

The 2023 Matching Marketing Grant program will remain open through December 31, 2023 or while funds last. Once the funds are spent, the program for 2023 will close.
