(ADI) has a variety of committees that are composed of Downtown business owners, ADI members, board members, and other talented community members to share their feedback on programming, marketing, economic development and more. Creative Downtown Appleton, Inc. Committee
Creative minded community members, arts supporters, local artists and more meet monthly to discuss and support the Appleton creative economy movement by enhancing the cultural and artistic environment through the development of opportunities for community access to arts, music and culture. Past committee projects include Out of the Box Traffic Control Boxes, numerous murals in the Downtown district, outdoor musical instruments, the Parklet, special events like Avenue of Ice, the Light the Night Market series and more. Economic Development Committee
The committee’s mission to foster a strong environment for the local economy to thrive is supported by their efforts to administer the Façade Enhancement Grant Program and the Business Recruitment Grant program, monitor business and development activity within the district and assist with business recruitment and retention. Hospitality Committee
Downtown bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues meet to discuss and brainstorm upcoming events and promotions that can assist with bringing traffic to the hospitality industry Downtown including the Craft Beer Walk, Soup Walk, Mini Golf on the Town as well as other crossover with other ADI events. Retail Committee
Downtown business owners who meet to discuss and brainstorm retail events and promotions including Spring Into Style: Ladies’ Day Fashion Show, Shop, Sip & Stroll Wine Walk, Small Business Saturday, as well as crossover with other ADI events. Image Marketing Committee
This committee is centered on marketing Downtown as a vibrant destination for visitors, potential businesses and potential residents. The committee’s work is rooted in storytelling and building engaging content. Sharing practices from the industry, exploring new opportunities for telling the Downtown story and guiding the ADI team to develop and execute an annual strategic plan.
