"Travel around the world" when you visit businesses featuring destinations complete with decorations, refreshments, special offers and more. The more destinations you visit, the more chances you have to win fabulous "Staycation" prizes. Bon Voyage!

Death By Chocolate
February 14 (Valentine's Day)
Downtown Appleton becomes a dessert-lovers' paradise as local businesses feature their tasty chocolate treats.   Be sure to vote for your favorite treat!

Downtown Appleton Farm Market
Inside City Center...Saturdays, November-May; 9am-12:30pm
The Downtown Appleton Farm Market continues throughout the winter. Fresh produce, meats & poultry, breads & baked goods, dairy products, homemade soup & dip mixes, quality handcrafted items, jewelry, rugs, and much more Including gluten free items. PLUS, enjoy the local restaurants, retail stores, the Building for Kids Children's Museum and all that Downtown Appleton has to offer!

Spring Into Style Ladies Day Downtown!

Mini Golf On The Town
April 8, 2017
Play a hole of mini-golf at a variety of Downtown bars and when you've completed 9 holes, gather at the "19th Hole" for a fun party and prizes!  Team costumes, drink specials, and fun are all par for the course!

Downtown Appleton Giving Hope
May 7-13, 2017
A percentage of proceeds from sales by businesses displaying Giving Hope signs will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of Cancer programs and research. Enjoy all that Downtown Appleton has to offer while buying local and supporting a great cause.

Art On The Town
Third Friday of the month: May - September; 5- 8pm
Downtown Appleton's art museum, galleries, studios and stores open their doors to allow the public to experience their favorite or brand-new form of art! Take this art walk and enjoy numerous venues featuring a variety of artist displays, demonstrations, live music and refreshments. Look for the bright yellow banners!
Now featuring Creative Kids with family friendly activities June 16, July 21 & Aug. 18 in Houdini Plaza from 3-5pm.

Memorial Day Parade

A popular family activity, come Downtown and help us remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  Applications for the Parade are now open!

Heid Music Summer Concert Series
Houdini Plaza, Summer Thursdays, June 1 - Aug. 31, 2017, 5:30-8:30pm
Move, groove and relax to the rhythm of the region's hottest live bands during free concerts right Downtown. Before or after you are Downtown enjoying the live music, visit one of our 70+ local restaurants or bars and clubs for a bite to eat or something cool to drink.

Flag Day Parade
June 10, 2017 at 2 pm
Come enjoy the United States' oldest Flag Day Parade as we celebrate America with bands, floats and other displays. The Appleton parade route starts at Oneida Street on Wisconsin Avenue and heads west to State Street then south to College Avenue.  It continues east and then turns north on Drew Street to the City Park.  Applications for the Parade are now open!

Outside on College Avenue...Every Saturday, June - October, 2017; 8:00 am-12:30 pm
Experience the area's largest Farm Market with more than 150 vendors selling fresh produce and flowers, exotic meats and cheeses, breads and baked goods, specialty foods and handcrafted items along with live music!

Two separate events on two different days that add up to a weekend of great fun! License to Cruise kicks off on Friday night when hundreds of classic cars line The Avenue. On Saturday, Octoberfest - Appleton's biggest festival - draws 100,000+ people Downtown to enjoy live music, arts and crafts, a family fun activities area and tons of mouth-watering festival food and beverage items.  Arts & Crafts applications open Feb. 27-March 3.

Soup Walk

Enjoy this annual event featuring Downtown restaurants and their best soups! Try a taste at each of the different venues and vote for your favorite at your last stop!   Tickets go on sale Oct. 1 for just $20 each, but quantities are limited.

Head to Downtown Appleton to continue your celebration of the holidays with the largest night-time parade in Wisconsin featuring bands, floats, local groups and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus himself.
