ACOCA Cafe & Roastery

ACOCA the big red building! On the corner of North Walnut Street and College Avenue, this study spot is impossible to miss. Whether you see studying as a solitary or group activity, ACOCA can accommodate both! Couches and tables fill the inside of the café, providing room for all kinds of study sessions. The coffee that ACOCA’s regulars come back to is the best fuel for a productive morning and afternoon.

Brewed Awakenings

The cozy atmosphere at Brewed Awakenings is great for hunkering down and doing homework. This café is a great spot for vegans or vegetarians because of its diverse menu. If you’re lucky, you can get a seat next to the window to catch some great views of Downtown! With a hot coffee and a muffin or a turnover to fuel you, there’s no place better than Brewed Awakenings to get work done or get distracted with people watching through the window.

Commodore Club & Cafe

Cafe by day, cocktail lounge by night, Commodore Club and Cafe provides the perfect ambience for an afternoon of studying and caffeinating with the option of rewarding all that hard work with a cocktail without having to move or change an outfit. Located on the corner of South Durkee Street and College Avenue, it will give you a space to chill, yap, lock in, and party. What more do you need?

Drinkery

Right through the front doors of the Trout Museum of Art, the Drinkery sits at the entrance of the art galleries housed inside the museum. It’s a café-bar hybrid that offers both signature lattes and cocktails. And where better to study than a museum? For each study break, you can explore one gallery at a time (for free until the end of 2026)! Just make sure to leave your beverages in the Drinkery and away from the art.

Situated next door to the History Museum at the Castle and YOGA3, il Bar is a great pit stop for delicious coffee or tea and pastries for the perfect study session in the middle of your busy day. Make sure you ask for your chocolate croissant to be heated up for an added layer of coziness while you’re studying.
