Kim & Andy’s Date Day Itinerary (Summer) in Appleton Downtown
When Andy & I are planning a date day, we are grateful to have no shortage of options right in Downtown Appleton! We love being able to have a fun day out, while still being close to home. 😊 Plus, supporting local businesses is something we both appreciate. Here’s how we typically spend our perfect Downtown Appleton date day:
Coffee:
Every great day starts with coffee! There are so many fantastic cafe options in Downtown Appleton, which always makes the decision very tough. Personally, Copper Rock Coffee where Andy orders a S’mores Mocha, and I opt for a Raspberry Chai with espresso. Since we have an espresso machine at home, we also love picking up new beans to try from various local shops in the area—it’s like bringing a piece of downtown back with us.
Activity:
In the summertime and early fall, we love walking down to the Downtown Appleton Farm Market to pick out local produce and handmade goods (we can never resist the local honey, fresh veggies, or some seasonal apple cider!). Nine times out of ten, we end up grabbing a snack at a food truck, because we all know how difficult it is to resist those!
Lunch:
If we don’t grab a snack or food at the market, it’s almost certain that we’ve worked up an appetite! We appreciate the many options for lunch in Downtown Appleton, but one of our main go-to spots is often Bazil’s Pub. Kim is usually (slowly) working her way through the impressive beer list, and the food is always delicious!
Activity:
Our record player is a staple in our house, especially on the weekends, so when Eroding Winds made its way into Downtown Appleton, we were so excited! It would be easy to spend a whole day in this store, and we always walk away with a vinyl (or two, or three) that we didn’t even know we needed.
