Ladies Day takes to Runway April 30th
Daylong Specials, Raffles Add to Girlfriends’ Festivities in Downtown
The latest fashions, tasty pastries, raffles, giveaways and a host of special deals will highlight Ladies Day Downtown! In Downtown Appleton on Saturday, April 30.
A special event of Appleton Downtown Inc. (ADI) in partnership with Harbor House, Ladies Day Downtown! is an ideal girlfriend getaway that will begin with a fashion show and breakfast at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for breakfast, music, activities and chair massages. All guests also will receive a SWAG bag of goodies at the event, including coupons for special offers at participating downtown businesses. Sponsors for the event are Avenue Jewelers and Appleton International Airport. Women Magazine is the media sponsor.
Cost to attend is $15. Tickets are limited to 300 and are selling quickly. By donating one or more items from the Harbor House On-Going General Needs list, participants will be entered into a special drawing. The list may be viewed on the ADI website, www.appletondowntown.org
“With the kind of spring we’re having this year, I think we are all ready to see some fun spring fashions!” says Anne Weigman, marketing director for ADI. “This event is always a hit, and tickets sell out quickly, since space is limited for the breakfast and fashion show.
Downtown merchants will be featuring their best transitional and summer pieces that are really on trend this year, plus we help Harbor House in the process of having a fun day.”
Tickets are on sale now, and may be purchased at the following fashion show feature merchants: Angels Forever – Windows of Light, Avenue Jewelers, Beatnik Betty’s Resale Butik, Blue Moon Emporium, DePawsitory Pet Boutique, Fresh Expressions, hey, daisy!, Items of Interest, J. Hawkinson Clothiers, Joseph’s Shoes, Lillian’s Shoppe, Sho Fashions, Studio 45, Surfin’ Bird Skateshop, The Vintage Garden, Tina Marie’s Unique Boutique and Vagabond Imports.
Ladies also are invited to participate in a raffle, featuring a dozen purses, each filled with gift certificates and prizes. One of the purses will contain a piece of jewelry donated by Avenue Jewelers valued at $300 and another purse donated by Tennie’s Jewelry is valued at $400.
Additionally there will be fun activities throughout the day including the Downtown Appleton Farm Market inside City Center, live models and scarf tying demonstrations at Lillians of Appleton, Silent Triumph speakers and a fundraiser at Copper Rock Coffee Company, workshops at Breathe Revolution Studio, the Artery art show at The Draw and so much more!
