The economic well-being of the central business district of Downtown Appleton is one of the most important charges of Appleton Downtown Inc (ADI). ADI, a not-for-profit organization, works with the City of Appleton's Community Development Department to recruit new business and promote the retention of existing businesses in the Downtown area. ADI has many Downtown development tools at its disposal to help maintain economic well-being, including a variety of grants. You can learn more about each grant below.

TIF Enhancement Grants and Area Business Enhancement Grants
Funded by the City of Appleton, this program encourages investments in exterior improvements to commercial properties. Business Enhancement Grants are available for up to $7,000 maximum grant per project with a fifty-percent (50%) match required by the applicant. Applicants may use ADI Façade Grant funds for twenty-five percent (25%) of the applicant match amount. More information about the grants can be found on the City of Appleton's website.
