WINDOW WALK KICKS OFF HOLIDAY SEASON IN DOWNTOWN APPLETON WITH A $5,000 GIVE-AWAY

(APPLETON, WI)— Those attending Light Up Night® presented by the Trout Museum of Art on Friday, November 10, will want to be sure to stop at the Creative Parklet, located next to Copper Rock Coffee Co. at 210 W. College Avenue from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to play the Tundraland Spin to Win Game for the opportunity to win prizes including one of two hundred available $25 Downtown Appleton Gift Certificates. These gift certificates are being provided by Tundraland, Downtown Appleton’s 2017 Star Supporter, to encourage early holiday shopping since they will expire on Nov. 21, 2017.

While at the Parklet, visitors will also be entertained with live music and a lighted hula hoop performance. Patrons are also encouraged to enjoy the activities and decorated windows throughout the Downtown from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that eveningIMG_0028

The 34 participating merchants’ windows will be decorated based on a favorite holiday song lyric. This year, ten of the windows will feature designs created by local students ages 7 through 14. No matter the temperature, many of the participating businesses will be open until 8:00 p.m. and have special offers, gifts and sweet treats to get the season off to a warm start. Participating merchants will also accept votes for favorite windows and entries for chances to win a $200 Downtown Shopping Spree – just in time for Christmas!

“Downtown Appleton is a great place all year long, but we all agree that it really shines during the holiday season,” explained Anne Wiegman, Marketing Director for Appleton Downtown Inc. “The businesses love to creatively welcome in the season and help customers get in the holiday spirit. With seventy unique boutiques and specialty shops, Downtown Appleton is the perfect place to find just the right gift for everyone on your list.”
