Join the Fox Cities Educators for the Arts and The Trout Museum of Art at the 3rd annual Fox Cities Community Art Day on Saturday, May 19 from 10:00am-1:00pm. Houdini Plaza will be filled with artwork you can create and take home, a community art project, live music, and raffle prizes! We're proud to partner with local organizations to provide families with additional art opportunities throughout the day. In the case of rain, the back-up location is inside the Fox Cities Building for the Arts.
Children young and old are welcome to participate in this FREE family-friendly event. Drawing in hundreds of children and families each year, Community Art Day features a series of art activities designed to bring the community together in celebration of the visual arts in downtown Appleton. This year’s theme, Inspired by Books, will bring to life our beloved childhood favorites while engaging families in artwork to inspire creativity and literacy.
In keeping with the Inspired by Books theme, we are collecting books to donate to literacy programming at the Appleton Public Library. Support your local community by donating new, children’s books in any of the donation boxes that will be set-up around Houdini Plaza.
Funding for this event is provided by The Trout Museum of Art. For more information, visit The Trout Museum of Art’s website at http://www.troutmuseum.org/Events/Fox-Cities-Community-Art-Day or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
