Appleton Downtown Inc.  is pleased to provide a range of grants up to $5000 available to properties within the business improvement district boundaries to assist with enhancing the exterior appearance and overall value of the properties within the district.

  • Façade grants include grants for:
  • Large Scale Architect Assisted Projects with up to a 50% match and a maximum of $5000 per project*
  • American Disabilities Act Compliance Projects with up to a 50% match and a maximum of $2500 per project
  • Minor Scale Architect Assisted Projects with up to a 50% match and a maximum of $2000 per project*
  • Restorations Improvement and Signage Projects with up to a 50% match and a maximum of $1000 per project

ADI also provides up to $100 for sidewalk sign board to help promote a business.

Please note both grants require that proper permits be obtained from the City of Appleton.  Sign Boards require an annual $45 Occupancy Permit.
