2019 Downtown Chili Cook-Off
Enjoy FREE samples of delicious chili made with Downtown Appleton Farm Market vendor products prepared by local chefs & restaurants! Chilis compete for various awards chosen by local celebrity judges, plus a People's Choice Award decided by YOU!

Chili entries will arrive at the Indoor Farm Market by 10:00 am with local celebrity judges tasting to award Best Restaurant & Best Market Vendor. Local celebrity judges include:
- Brian Gottlieb from Tundraland Home Improvements
- Mayor Tim Hanna of Appleton
- BC Joe Strauss of Appleton Fire Department
- Syd Neuser from West Bend, WI who recently was a contestant on the popular TV show, MasterChef Junior!
Plus, PUBLIC JUDGING begins at 11:00 am for you to sample the chili and vote for the Best Overall Crowd Pleaser (People's Choice) Award!
While you're out for the Chili Cook-Off, explore and enjoy the Indoor Farm Market from 9 am-12:30 pm inside City Center! Pick up your own produce and products from the local vendors to make your own chili!
Plus, we are partnering with the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive in coalition with City Center and Fire Station #1 to be a collecting site at the Farm Market during event. Items such as laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and diapers are just some of the many items attendees can bring in support of this effort. Items donated stay within the community and go to 15 community homeless organizations.
