I live in Appleton with my wife, Chris, and have 4 grown children. I have been a dedicated nature photographer of landscapes since childhood, adding wildlife in the past 7 years and night sky for the past 4 years. My art photography is available for purchase from my website and the Gallery & Frame Shop in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. I have been an award winning photographer in Wisconsin Professional Photographers. In 2023 I published a book, "Nightscapes," featuring photographs of the landscape along with our Milky Way Galaxy and auroras. My photography has been featured in Our Wisconsin magazine and other publications and is on display at the Barlow Planetarium. I am a board member of the Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust, dedicated to preservation of ecologically important properties in northeast Wisconsin and Photo-Opp, an organizaton dedicated to community enrichment through the arts of photography and videography. I am a major contributor to the Weis Earth Science Museum. I am available for photographic presentations in nursing homes and similar venues. I have not been in a tree stand since because our two restaurants demand so much of our time. In the spring of 2017, needing a hobby and a diversion from the restaurant, Brent pickled up a camera to try his hand at photography. I walked on to the Heckrodt Wetland and there were a number of fawn walking around with their mother. From that moment on, I was hooked on wildlife and nature photography. Having coached HS and college volleyball for 17 years, coaching is in my DNA and I get such great value in introducing people to wildlife photography and what I get to experience on a regular basis. Who gets to spend 4 hours watching a 500 lb sow blackbear interacting with her four cubs. I have as a wildlife photographer. Who has capture a loon laying an egg or been there as one is hatched and the baby takes it's first ride on moms back? As a wildlife photographer, I have. I love being able to bring people into the world I love to experience and watch their eyes light up.
