Downtown Appleton Farm Market – Frequently Asked Questions

What are the dates of market?

Market begins June 18, 2011 and runs every Saturday through the end of October outside, then moves inside City Center Plaza through the end of March.  No market during Octoberfest.

What are the hours?

8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Can I bring my pet?

No pets allowed.  Per City Ordinance, pets are not allowed at special
events, violators will be fined $186.00

How do I become a vendor?

It is an application process that is dependent on what you’re selling.  All items must be hand-crafted, hand-made or hand-grown to be eligible to participate.  We have three different application types:  Crafter, Producer, and Ready to Eat Food.  Due to the high volume of interest, we do have a waiting list, with several categories capped off.  Full
seasonal booths are currently not available.  Because we want everyone to do well at market, we only allow so-many vendors to be selling the same types of items, so as not to over-saturate any one category.

What is the cost?

Full seasonal booths are not currently available.  However, we do periodically have “Daily” stalls open, and we fill these by working off of our “waiting list” of approved vendors.  For a single 10’ x 12’ stall the fee is $35/day.  A double 20’ x 12’ sized stall fee is $50/day.

What is the size of a booth?

Depending on availability, there are three different sized booths, but majority of the booths are a 10’wide, 12’ deep.

Is there a place to park?

There is no reserved parking for vendors or shoppers.  We recommend parking in any of the many ramps downtown, as the fee is $2 to park all day, so you can shop or sell and not have to worry about plugging a meter.

How do I obtain a WI Sellers permit?

There is an online application available through the state for a permit:  http://www.revenue.wi.gov  We highly recommend you apply & receive a number, as we are required by law to submit all of your information from your application as you participate.

Why isn’t the application online?

Due to our extensive waiting list, we are currently not
accepting applications, but would love to add you to our waiting list.  Be sure to either contact our Farm Market Director via phone at 920-954-9112 or e-mail
Djuanna@appletondowntown.org.
