Fox Valley Symphony Kicks off Season with The Machine Performing Pink Floyd

from Jamie Lafreniere with Fox Valley Symphony

We are kicking off our 45th anniversary season with something you might not expect – a Pink Floyd concert!

We are excited to be working with The Machine Performs Pink Floyd on Saturday, September 17 at 7:30pm at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

The first half of the concert will be hits and classics and the second half will include the entire Dark Side of the Moon album!

The Machine is America’s top Pink Floyd show, and has a 20 year reputation of excellence. They extend the legacy of Pink Floyd while creating another legacy all their own. A review in Rolling Stone said “The Machine duplicates the sound and hits of Pink Floyd with chilling accuracy.”

Now add to that the full Fox Valley Symphony including music director Brian Groner, all on our very own Fox Cities PAC stage! The combination is going to be amazing!

The Machine’s manager, Barney Kilpatrick, told The Scene that their goal was “to create arrangements that the band specifically asked for that brought the orchestra into the foreground as much as possible. These arrangements made a difference in the way the music sounds.”

Tickets start at just $25 so we hope everyone can join us to start the 11-12 celebration season! See you there!
