Appleton, a "Yappening" place!

Recently the 2011 Fox Cities LIFE Study results were released. There were some good data points suggesting Appleton is a happening place for young professionals. One figure in particular was especially supportive of Appleton being "YAP friendly": Nearly 70% of community members feel that the Fox Cities are a good or excellent place for young professionals (Figure 1, pg. 27, Community Perceptions).
Appleton and the Fox Cities could be the THE "Young Professionals" destination in northeast Wisconsin or perhaps even the entire state...
What do you think; do you agree? What makes Appleton a good place for YAPs to live, work, and play?
