Free Showing of Houdini and Doyle at the History Museum at the Castle
FREE sneak peek of HOUDINI & DOYLE
A new series on Fox
The History Museum at the Castle in Appleton will be the site of the Wisconsin premier of Houdini & Doyle, a new series on Fox. The showing will occur on Friday, April 29 from 6:30pm – 7:30. The evening event will include concessions, door prizes, and a historical recap by resident Houdini expert Curator Emily Rock.
Synopsis from Fox:
Inspired by true events, the series follows two great men of the 20th Century – Harry Houdini (Michael Weston, “House,” “Six Feet Under”), master magician, escape artist and paranormal debunker; and Arthur Conan Doyle (Stephen Mangan, “Episodes”), prolific writer, creator of “Sherlock Holmes” and paranormal aficionado. They grudgingly join forces with New Scotland Yard to investigate unsolved and inexplicable and possibly supernatural crimes, alongside the first female Constable of the London Metropolitan Police Force, Adelaide Stratton (Rebecca Liddiard, “Man Seeking Woman”). The show will air nationally on May 2.
Inside the walls of the History Museum, the past comes alive through the stories, photographs and artifacts of people of the Fox Valley. Our mission is to inspire appreciation for the rich history of the Fox River Valley area communities through the collections, exhibits and education at the History Museum at the Castle.
