Appleton Sidewalk Poetry Unveiling June 2 on west end of College Ave. Bridge

In honor of the late poet laureate Ellen Kort, the sidewalk poetry committee chose one of her poems to highlight the 2016 class of poems to be stamped in our Sidewalk Poetry Program.
That stamping ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. near the west end of the College Avenue bridge.
Members of Kort’s family will be in attendance to read her poem and talk about the contributions Ellen made to the community, both with her poetry and philanthropy in other areas.
Kort’s poem is joined by five other poems in this year’s class that will be stamped throughout the city.
To view the stamping, park near the intersection of N. Green Bay Rd. and N. Catherine St. just north of College Avenue. Follow the sidewalk up to College Ave.
