APPLETON DOWNTOWN SUMMER FARM MARKET ANNOUNCES TOKEN MATCHING PROGRAM
Saturday Outdoor Market Begins EBT Token Matching Program
Fans of the weekly outdoor Farm Markets in Downtown Appleton won’t want to miss the addition of this year’s EBT Bonus token program. The Farm Market is a popular food source for area families who utilize the Wisconsin Food Share/ EBT program. The Saturday morning event will start EBT token matching days July through October, twice monthly. The Saturdays of EBT token matching dates are: July 9 and 30, August 13 and 27, September 10 and 17, and October 8 and 29.
Tokens are available for purchase at the Farm Market Information Booth each week. The amount purchased will be matched up to $10 thanks to the sponsorship of Affinity Health System and United Healthcare on the specified Saturdays. Keep your eyes open for vendors with the EBT Token Sign in their booth and use your tokens for items such as produce, vegetable plants, and various food products; such as bakery, cheese, meat, eggs and more!
According to Djuanna Hugdahl, Farm Market Director, since the EBT program began in 2011, an additional $56,000 worth of local, fresh foods has been provided to area families in need.
Further details of the token program as well as other special features and new additions will be highlighted on ADI’s Facebook page and other social media channels, as well as on the website, www.appletondowntown.org.
