Appleton Downtown is Serving Up the 8th Annual Soup Walk!

A spirited walk on an autumn day could only be better if the route were dotted with places to sample signature soups prepared by local chefs eager to earn bragging rights for their kettles of goodness.

That describes the 8th Annual Soup Walk, sponsored this year by IPS Testing. IPS Testing has increased its support of ADI’s events by becoming the official tasting sponsor of Downtown Appleton, sponsoring Death By Chocolate in February and Soup Walk in October each year.

On Saturday, October 15 from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., each of 16 restaurants – including four along the riverfront – will offer samples of their special soup. Participants may vote for their favorite dish, hoping to earn a year’s bragging rights for the chef and a chance to win Downtown Appleton gift certificates for themselves.

The free downtown trolley will provide fun, easy transportation to all of the participating restaurants. A limited number of tickets, priced at $20 each, go on sale October 1 online at appletondowntown.org, and beginning October 3 they may be purchased at the ADI office, 116 N. Appleton St. Or call ADI at (920) 954-9112 to reserve tickets.
