Spring into Style Ladies Day

I don’t know about you, but this time of year, I start to get tired of my wardrobe. After a winter of wearing darker colors and heavy sweaters, it seems like everyone I talk with is ready for brighter colors and lighter fabrics. Sometimes l like just shaking things up with new accessories; you know new shoes, jewelry, headbands, sunglasses etc.
If you feel like any of that is true for you, then you need to buy your tickets for the Downtown Appleton Spring Into Style Ladies Day. The eighth annual Ladies Day will be held on April 1 and will start with a Continental Breakfast and Fashion Show at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. The doors open at 9 AM and there will be plenty of fun activities and a goody bag to enjoy! In the past, these have included a Candy Bar Raffle, What’s in Your Purse door prize, playing Bean-boozled, Digging for “diamonds”, ring cleaning and chair massages, and many of those will be back again! The Fashion Show will really get you in the mood for spring and summer with new looks from up to a dozen shops modeled by some of our local “celebrities” and store staff. Afterward, the boutiques in Downtown Appleton are ready to help you choose a new seasonal piece or two or a whole new wardrobe! And with the personal attention the shop owners, managers and staff provide, they can really assist with finding those transitional pieces for the uncertain spring weather.
Another popular aspect of the day is the opportunity to give back to the community! This year, donations to Homeless Connections will be accepted. We’ve found that in the past the ladies who attend have embraced the idea of spring cleaning and replacing old with new and have generously picked up an extra item to donate to those in need in our community.
