Appleton Downtown Inc. (ADI) will tee up its fifth annual indoor Mini Golf on the Town event at establishments along College Avenue and nearby side street locations Saturday, April 8 from 1 to 6 p.m. Cost to participate is $15 per person or $50 for a foursome. Registration is now open, and players are encouraged to sign up early as the number of players

Registration is now open, and players are encouraged to sign up early as the number of players is limited. All participants must be 21 years or older by April 8, 2017 to register.

Tundraland Home Improvements is the Star Supporter for this year’s event, along with WEST Corporation. The media sponsor is 95.9 KISS FM and a team of disc jockeys will be playing on each of the courses and emceeing the 19th Hole party at D2 Sports Pub.

Golfers will play a hole of mini golf at each of nine establishments before proceeding to the “19th Hole” party at D2 Sports Pub where prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. As in years past, team costumes are encouraged, although not required. Food and beverage specials will be featured at the host venues. Each venue will also be giving away gift certificates resulting in a total prize purse for the day of $1000.

“This has become a much-anticipated, fun event in Downtown to shake off the last of winter,” said Anne Wiegman, director of Marketing for ADI. “Whether you are a ‘real’ golfer or not, this is just a great way to team up with friends for some fun and patronize our Downtown businesses.” Participants may use their own putter and golf ball or use one supplied by the businesses.

Scorecards can be picked up on the day of the event wherever golfers registered. Players are then free to play their course in any order. Completed cards can be turned in at the 19th Hole party beginning at 6 p.m. to vote for their favorite mini-golf hole and be eligible for costume prizes.
