The 67th Annual Appleton Flag Day Parade to Honor Coast Guard
The 67th Annual Flag Day Parade will pay tribute to the United States Coast Guard on Saturday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. The event is recognized as the oldest Flag Day Parade in the nation.
This year’s parade theme is “United We Stand”. The event will feature military units and military marching bands from throughout the nation. It will include about 100 total units consisting of drum & bugle corps., veterans & organizations, scout troops, patriotic floats, decorated vehicles, walking units, and area marching bands. '
The parade begins at 2:00 p.m. from Wisconsin Avenue and Oneida Street, heading west. At State Street, it turns left and proceeds south to College Avenue. At College, it turns left again and proceeds east to Drew Street, dispersing at Drew Street and College Avenue.
WFRV-TV 5 will videotape the parade for re-broadcast in the Green Bay/Fox Cities area on June 10 at 10:35pm and again on June 18 at 11am. This will allow viewers in all of Northeastern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to see the parade.
