The 2017 Downtown Appleton Craft Beer Walk
Fall fun seekers with a hankering for the flavors of artisan beers won’t want to miss Saturday, October 14. This is the day Appleton Downtown, Inc. (ADI) and a full lineup of Downtown establishments will serve up the second annual Downtown Appleton Craft Beer Walk from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to register and purchase tickets for one of four walks, priced at $20 per walk, at any participating bar or restaurant in the Downtown, or online at beerwalkwi.com. The ticket includes two 3 oz. tastings at eight locations. There are a limited number of tickets for each walk, but day-of sales will be allowed if they are still available.
Brewery and distributor reps will be at each location to educate participants about the styles and attributes of the beers they’re representing. Participating distributors include General Beverage NE, Kay Distributing Company, Lee Distributors, and Wisconsin Distributors. Attendees will receive a free commemorative pint glass. Proceeds from the sale of each registration will benefit Creative Downtown Appleton Inc. Creative Downtown Appleton supports the Appleton creative economy movement by enhancing the cultural and artistic environment through the development of
opportunities for community access to arts, music and culture.
“Craft beers have gained tremendous popularity, and many Downtown Appleton establishments prominently feature them on their beverage menus,” said Jennifer Stephany, ADI executive director. “Whether people want to taste test and learn more about craft beers or enjoy a leisurely stroll to check out establishments they haven’t yet experienced, this event is a great way to do both.”
Attendees may stroll the Downtown at their own pace, Stephany says, and sip samples at the participating establishments of their choice in any order.
