Warm Up & Chow Down with the Downtown Appleton Soup Walk!

When the weather turns cool, many of us start to get a taste for that age old comfort food-- - soup! So naturally in our opinion, a spirited walk on an autumn day could only be better if the route were dotted with places to sample signature soups prepared by local chefs eager to earn bragging rights for their kettles of goodness.

If you agree, you’ll want to buy your ticket now and join us on Saturday, October 21 from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., when each of 22 restaurants, separated into two walks, will offer samples of their special soup. Participants are encouraged to vote for their favorite dish for a chance to win Downtown Appleton gift certificates for themselves.

“This event has sold out in just a few days every year and more venues expressed an interest in it,” explained Anne Wiegman, Marketing Director of Appleton Downtown Inc. “Having two walks this year allows for more participation by both the public and Downtown and Riverfront businesses.”

The free downtown trolley will provide fun, easy transportation to all the participating restaurants on the West End and Riverfront route. Three hundred and fifty tickets for each walk, priced at $20 each, are on sale online at appletondowntown.org, and at the ADI office located at 116 N. Appleton St.

Participating restaurants, locations and their featured soups include:
