Downtown Appleton has really shined as One Great Place for the Holidays this year! From the kick off during the Window Walk, through the 47th Annual Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade to the Holiday Fun Fest and the Elf Downtown promotion last weekend, the holiday spirit is infectious!
Families were out enjoying the Farm Market, visits with Santa, the Holiday Handcrafted Gift Market, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, games and activities for kids and the One Stop Elf Shop. Thanks to the generosity of the Downtown Appleton Rotary Club and US Bank, children currently staying at the Homeless Connection and Harbor House were able to buy gifts for their families with Elf Bucks! The looks on their faces were priceless as they picked out the perfect present.
The good news is that the Farm Market and One Stop Elf Shop will both be open again this Saturday. With up to 50 vendors at the Farm Market selling fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs and cheeses, bread and baked goods, specialty foods and handcrafted items, it is the perfect stop to get what you need for holiday parties and gifts. And the One Stop Elf Shop will be finishing the season with elves helping kids selects presents for both the adults and kids in their lives from ten downtown businesses.
If you didn’t find just what you were looking for at the Farm Market, take some tips from the Elf Downtown and visit one of the more than 70 unique boutiques and specialty shops downtown. From accessories for sporting enthusiasts to apparel and accessories plus home décor, you’ll find a variety of items for gift-giving (or for yourself)!
If you find yourself still searching for the perfect gift for someone who is hard to shop for, consider Downtown Appleton Gift Certificates. Since they are good at more than 180 businesses downtown, they also work well for someone you don’t know well enough to know what they need. Certificates are available in any denomination by calling, stopping by or ordering online at https://appletondowntown.org/shop-adi/. The Appleton Downtown Inc. office at 116 N. Appleton Street will be open until 3:30 pm on Friday, Dec. 23 to serve you.
