The much-anticipated outdoor Downtown Appleton Farm Market went off with a bang this past Saturday! This season is filled with new additions you won’t want to miss and thankfully the beloved Farm Market will be every Saturday morning from 8am-12:30pm now until October!
The Downtown Appleton Farm Market hosts more than 150 vendors each week showcasing their produce, food items, crafts and other specialty items in open air booths lining the street. While attendees may recognize many popular vendors, who are fixtures of Appleton’s market, many fresh faces and offerings are drawing shoppers to explore new wares.
Some of the new items that will tempt you as you walk the market include Soaplescence, Whiskey River Workshop, Wayne’s Jerky, Hidden Valley Farm with lamb and wool, and Fox Pop and Chillwaukee featuring gourmet popsicles perfect to help you beat the summer heat! Plus, additional favorites from the Indoor Market have made their debut on College Avenue including Reinvent Ferment, Sweet Temptations by Michael, Fox Valley Hydro Farm, and Simply Made to name a few. The fun continues with two downtown businesses joining the street party: Crazy Sweet is serving up their signature Fro-Dough ice cream donut and Pisco Mar is serving up a variety of kabob options.
Another new addition that kicked off this past Saturday is Kids Market. With the support of The Building For Kids Children’s Museum, once a month a youth artist will have their art work on display and for sale. This program allows the community to celebrate young talent! Jesse Emons started us off strong with his superhero inspired designs. You will want to stop by next month on July 21 to see the next Kids Market spotlight artist!
With the new exciting additions, there is something for everyone to truly make your trip downtown worthwhile. It’s time to make the Downtown Appleton Farm Market a part of your weekly schedule – see you on Saturday!
