Gridiron Glory Comes to Appleton

The History Museum at the Castle just opened a nationally traveling exhibition titled Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The one-of-a-kind exhibit tells the history of professional football and features rare artifacts from the Hall of Fame, exclusive footage from NFL Films, and unforgettable interactive experiences. Gridiron Glory went on display at the History Museum, located at 330 E. College Ave. in Appleton, June 30 and will run through January 6, 2019.

Miron Construction Co., Inc., the exhibition’s lead sponsor, donated its services to remodel the History Museum in anticipation of the event. The Green Bay Packers sponsored the History Museum’s effort to bring Gridiron Glory to Appleton and the exhibit features a specially designed “Home Town Tribute” area showcasing the Packers’ storied history and their legendary players. Additional sponsorships from Contract Transport Services, the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism proved critical in making Gridiron Glory possible. These investments will have an immediate economic impact, as exhibit goers are expected to spend $2.3 million in the Fox Cities.

Gridiron Glory is the most comprehensive exhibition of America’s most popular sport and features Wisconsin’s favorite team. Packers fans, football enthusiasts, and museum goers won’t be able to see Gridiron Glory anywhere else in Wisconsin. This blockbuster’s only stop will be at the History Museum at the Castle.
