DOWNTOWN GROWTH PROMPTS ADI TO ACCOMMODATE A LARGER VISITOR’S INFORMATION AREA

In the wake of substantial growth in Downtown Appleton, Appleton Downtown, Inc. (ADI) will relocate its office from 116 N. Appleton St. to a new office in the Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel located at the corner of Superior and College Avenue (333 W. College Ave, Suite 100) by January 1, 2019.

The new office will raise ADI’s visibility and accessibility for current guests, but also allow space to create a Fox Cities wide Visitor Information Area in partnership with the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) in downtown Appleton.  Funded in part with a grant from the FCCVB, the new Visitor Information Area will provide convenient access to area information from both the hotel lobby and College Ave allowing service to hotel guests, Fox Cities Exhibition Center event attendees, downtown visitors, and much more.

“The relocation will allow us to build a stronger connection to the great businesses, visitors and activities in downtown Appleton!” says Jennifer Stephany, ADI executive director.  “The timing couldn’t be better, as Downtown Appleton momentum escalates with the Exhibition Center picking up pace, US Venture moving in, a new library on the horizon, new residential units in the Zuelke Building and other projects still developing!”

John Peterson, Board President of ADI, states, “We are very excited about our new investment in the Appleton Downtown Visitor Information Area in the Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel.  It will help us to bring together visitors to experience our vibrant and walkable district, plus will bring imaginative new growth to Downtown Appleton.  This is One Great Place.”

The relocation will allow ADI to continue moving Downtown Appleton forward and help shape its future. To aid in the relocation, ADI’s investment campaign will allow supporters to contribute to the new Downtown Visitor’s Information Area and help shape the future with them.
