Avenue of Ice is returning to Downtown Appleton!
Looking for something fun to do in Downtown Appleton this week, starting on February 18? Head to Downtown Appleton for Avenue of Ice! With 39 custom made ice sculptures on display throughout the College Avenue district and along the Riverfront, this is an event you will not want to miss.
Last year’s Avenue of Ice event brought people out of their homes in a safe manner and one happy attendee had this to say; “It’s a great thing for the Fox Valley. It’s such a positive to see businesses being supported, seeing artists do their work, and it’s just something unique you do not see anywhere else around”
The Downtown Trolley will also be available for FREE, courtesy of, AARP from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 19th! Look for the red, black and green trolley stop signs to find pick up/drop off locations! There will also be free handwarmers available courtesy of AARP at participating retail locations and on the Trolley while supplies last.
Visit Downtown Appleton and the Riverfront starting at noon on Friday, February 18th going throughout the weekend as the weather permits.
This would be a great event for the entire family to attend, says high school student. Jackson Peterson. “ I would consider making an afternoon of it and having lunch at one of the downtown restaurants with my friends or family members. We need to get our high school population together on College Avenue more and this is a great opportunity to begin doing that”
Local coffee shops will also have outdoor pop up shops where you can warm up by their outdoor heaters and sip on a delicious warm beverage! These pop up shops will be available at ACOCA Coffee, Copper Rock and Brewed Awakenings.
Participants can download or view the map below during the event to help them plan out their day in Downtown Appleton mapping out all of the ice sculpture locations as well as fun winter items that can be purchased at local Downtown businesses as well.
