ENJOY THE CRISP OUTDOORS
Downtown Appleton is very fortunate to have some beautiful outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed during most of the year. Jones Park and City Park have playgrounds that feature a rubberized surface to make playing easier, even when the ground is cold or muddy. For hikers, we also have the Fox Trot Trail, which weaves throughout the Downtown and along the river, featuring 16 historical markers.

As the temperatures begin to drop, you may want to find some indoor activities. Stop by one of our many museums, such as the Trout Museum of Art or the Hearthstone House. If you want to stay warm and keep your hands busy, sign up for a class at Casting On or paint pottery at The Fire.

Visit Downtown Appleton on October 28th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. For DePawsitory’s 9th Annual Howloween Family Funfest! The event will feature trick or treating at participating downtown businesses, a costume contest and prizes.
